OMD announced as headliners for Wychwood Festival

Wychwood Festival has announced a stellar first wave of acts set to play this year – including headline act OMD.

The 80s icons will be gracing the Wychwood main stage on the Saturday night in what is sure to be an unforgettable show. Fresh from playing a sell-out show in the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year the experimental electronic music pioneers will be demonstrating why they are still as relevant as ever.

With a wealth of hits under their belt and constantly proving themselves to be the quintessential festival band, The Levellers will be a must see Wychwood Festival Sunday headliner in 2017. Folk classics such as ‘What A Beautiful Day’ will delight young and old alike, and close the festival in true monumental style.

Katy Ashworth will be opening up the the kids activities on Saturday with her much loved CBeebies antics, with Kanda Bongo Man and The East Pointers also performing on the mainstage. Sunday will see the welcome return of Electric Swing Circus and local favourites Thrill Collins, with many more acts and performers still to be announced.
Over the past 12 years Wychwood Festival has cemented itself as one of the country’s favourite family friendly weekends. Welcoming all generations, the festival curates a packed programme year on year with timeless greats, upcoming music, literature, comedy, children’s entertainment, food and drink and more.
Wychwood continues to offer great value and therefore limited Tier Two Early Bird tickets are available for fans until the end of the year. Adult weekend tickets are priced at just £130, concessions at £105, 10-15 year olds at £65, 5-9 year olds at £20 and under 5 year olds go free with an adult.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Gloucestershire countryside, runs from June 2-4 2017.
