Nick Wilson’s latest singles ‘Enough To Know You’‘Safe’ and ‘Everybody But Me’, have seen the 25-year-old earn a new wave of discovery. Collecting praise from a host of new music champions, the tracks have elevated him to over a million monthly listeners at Spotify.

Now Nick Wilson amplifies his positive momentum as he today shares his new EP ‘Love and Heartache’, which follows last year’s ‘A Face I’ve Never Seen Before’. The ‘Love and Heartache’ EP features his three most recent singles alongside the brand-new track ‘Built For This’. Listen HERE.

‘Love and Heartache’ finds Nick navigating the pitfalls, complex emotions and sheer sorrow of faltering romance. Its concluding chapter ‘Built For This’ continues the turmoil that he expresses by looking towards the future. Could there be one more chance to somehow salvage the relationship?

‘Built For This’ also offers a different sound to the rest of the EP. Whereas ‘Safe’ opens the EP with multi-textured alt-pop, ‘Built For This’ is pared down to little more than vocals and piano. Lessening the sonic depth heightens the song’s emotional impact, as Nick’s soaring voice bristles with anguish and despair.

“‘Love and Heartache’ is a culmination of the past year for me.  I really wanted to put something out that felt like both the new and old parts of me.  It’s a collection of songs about the extremes of emotion, whether it’s a breakup or an internal struggle within, and the lows and highs that come with any change in situation” says Nick.

Released via Never Fade Records (home to artists including Gabrielle Aplin and Anna Straker), ‘Love and Heartache’ perfectly encapsulates Nick’s appeal. It demonstrates his ability to craft immediately relatable songs from personal experiences. His world class songwriting credentials are complemented by the quality of his vocals, which balance pure feeling with masterful control.

It’s a skill that’s resulted in him being added to numerous key playlists, including countless New Music Fridays plus Spotify’s Most Beautiful Songs In The World and Apple’s Breaking Singer-Songwriter. It’s taken him over 80 million career streams to date, with fans including Demi Lovato falling under the spell of his lovelorn lyricism. His mix of timeless songwriting with contemporary style reflects his passion for artists such as Bon IverJoni MitchellPhoebe Bridges and Noah Gundersen.  Nick has collaborated with some of the world’s leading songwriters, including Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway (Lewis Capaldi), the Grammy-nominated Jonny Coffer (BeyoncéKodaline) and superstar DJ/producer Martin Garrix.
