Newcastle indie quintet Lanterns on the Lake release live album ahead of show at The Bullingdon in Oxford

Lanterns on the Lake, a hotly tipped indie rock five piece from Newcastle, are releasing a live album ahead of a UK tour including a date at The Bullingdon in Oxford on November 27.

Earlier this year the Newcastle quintet played a very special homecoming show with the Royal Northern Sinfonia. The 40 piece ensemble, guided by the arrangements of composer Fiona Brice, add a wealth of texture to a band already very familiar with expansive and beautiful sounds. The outcome is a sublime 10 track live recording that will be released as a digital album on November 25 via Bella Union.

Lanterns On The Lake will embark their nine-date UK tour later this month, which includes their biggest London headline show to date at Islington Assembly Hall where they will be accompanied by a additional strings and brass on what is sure to be a very special night. The band will also be playing a very intimate show in the beautiful surroundings of the Mining Institute in Newcastle on December 3.
