Mayor of Chippenham hosts fundraiser for Doorway

The Mayor of Chippenham, Councillor Desna Allen will be hosting an Evening of Entertainment in aid of the fantastic charity Doorway at the Neeld Community & Arts Centre on Saturday 28 March.

The event will see guests dressed in evening wear entertained with atmospheric music courtesy of a jazz quartet from Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra, twinkly tunes from pianist George Wilson and soft jazz from up and coming band Watermelon Snare.

A tasty hot buffet is also included in the ticket price. Alongside this, there is also a raffle where the local businesses of Chippenham are kindly providing the prizes.

The Mayor of Chippenham, Councillor Desna Allen said of the event; “Doorway has been my nominated charity for my Mayoral year, it’s a cause I feel strongly that we support.

Their work is vital to those who need it and I hope this special event will not only be fun to attend but will raise significant funds.” This special evening is raising funds for local charity Doorway which supports people over 16 who are affected by homelessness, or are marginalised because they have complex needs including physical or mental health issues, poor life skills, debt, substance use or learning difficulties.

Tickets are £36 each or £70 for two and are available to purchase from the customer services at the Town Hall or online at www.neeld.co.uk.
