Community-focused film competition ‘Love Living in’ offers £1,000 top prize

Property specialist Leaders has launched a new competition, Love Living in, which shines a spotlight on what it is that makes the place people call home special.

Leaders’ marketing manager, Alison Guyton, said: “Every town, city, village and suburb is different; made up of a unique assortment of people, streets, buildings, landscapes, amenities, traditions and things to see and do. We know that each area is loved for many different reasons by the people who live there, and we want to see and hear about them all.

“Love Living in is open to everyone across the UK.  We are asking people to create a short film, no more than 3 minutes long, that demonstrates what you love about where you live. Entrants have the chance to win a selection of prizes of up to £1,000 plus £1,000 for a local cause or community group* of their choice.

“You don’t need to be an expert at making films or have any special film equipment; you can use a smart phone, tablet or standard video camera. Films can be by individuals, groups or organisations and the competition is open to people of all ages and from all areas across the UK.”

The closing date for Love Living In entries is 31 May 2015. There are three prize categories, with a total prize fund of £4,000, and the winners will be announced by 30th June 2015.

Best film: £1,000 for the winner plus £1,000 for the community group* of their choice

Best film by a young person (under 16): £500 for the winner plus £500 for the community group* of their choice
