Limited special offer for Ruth Rendell's classic thriller 'A Judgment in Stone'

Do you love a good crime thriller? Then you should consider joining the Classic Thriller Theatre Company for this taut murder mystery at Oxford’s Playhouse Monday September 4 to Saturday September 9.

The plot: Eunice struggles to fit in. When she joins a wealthy family as their housekeeper the very reason for her awkwardness, long hidden, leads to a terrible tale of murder in cold blood - on Valentine’s Day. Ruth Rendell’s brilliant plot unravels a lifetime of deceit which, when revealed, brings a shocking revelation almost as grizzly as murder itself.

This is another mystery from Classic Thriller Theatre Company and Bill Kenwright that drips with tension, building on the decade-long success they enjoyed as The Agatha Christie Theatre Company. Their tours have delighted audiences across the UK and always proved a hit when they’ve visited Oxford.

They were also darkly delicious in Black Coffee’. Audiences came back multiple times for Go Back For Murder’. And there was no de-nile-ing the brilliance of ‘Murder On ‘The Nile’.

The production has been credited by Guildford News as: “A five star ‘who dunnit’.”

The star cast includes Sophie Ward whose credits  include the film ‘Young Sherlock Holmes’ and Dr Helen Trent in ITV drama ‘Heartbeat’; Deborah Grant who has starred in ‘Not Going Out’ and ‘Bergerac’; movie icon Shirley Anne Field who starred in the landmark films ‘The Entertainer’ opposite Laurence Olivier, and ‘Saturday Night’ and ‘Sunday Morning’ with Albert Finney; Antony Costa who shot to fame in chart topping boy band Blue; ‘The Bill’s’ Rosie Thomson and Ben Nealon whose TV credits include ITV’s award-winning drama ‘Soldier Soldier’.
