Lechlade Festival nominated for 3 awards

Hot on the heels of announcing a nomination in the Cotswold Awards and a shortlisting in the National Outdoor Events Association Awards, Lechlade Festival organisers have announced yet another accolade.

The family-friendly festival is shortlisted for both Best Small Festival and Best Family Festival in the UK Festival Awards, the third time the event has been recognised in the prestigious awards.

The UK Festival Awards honour the vision, creativity, expertise and effort that powers the UK’s Best Music Festivals.  Over half a million fan votes were cast last year, making it the benchmark by which festival-goers rate their experiences, and a coveted prize for organisers.

Lechlade’s 3-day festival takes place annually at the end of May and this year attracted over 4,500 visitors.  Plans are afoot to announce the 2017 headline acts very soon, whilst band selections are taking place currently for next year’s line-up.  Early bird tickets are on sale now until 31st October, with significant savings to be had on gate prices.

“It’s been a brilliant month” said Festival Director Jennie Rainsford, “with 3 awards in the pipeline for this year’s festival the team is spurred on to make the 2017 festival even better.  It’s such a reward for all the hours that everyone generously puts in free of charge to make Lechlade Festival such a fabulous event.  We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved.”

Voting for the UK Festival Awards closes on 28th October, cast your vote at www.festivalawards.com/vote.  Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at London’s Roundhouse at the end of November.
