'Jokes For Women' launches New Theatre Oxford's first monthly comedy club!

Get ready to laugh with us in our Piano Bar as we bring you a night filled with hilarity at the New Theatre Oxford’s monthly comedy club, in association with QED Comedy Lab.

Each show will feature the best local talent from right here in the city, as well as top up-and-coming talent from around the country.

December 14 is Jokes For Women, and we are celebrating 100 years of women having the right to vote.

Acts of the night include Anna Dominey, Chloe Petts, Chelsea Birkby, Adel Cliff and headliner, Cali Beaton. It starts at 10pm in the theatre’s Piano Bar.

Chloe Petts is an alumna of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, has been shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, was a finalist in the most recent Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Awards and came runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017. She has appeared on Channel 4’s Random Acts and BBC 3 Quickies.

Adele Clif is a stand-up comedian who already has two Edinburgh Fringe Festivals under her belt. She has recently returned from three months in the States where she trained in improv and comedy writing at the world renowned Second City Training Centre in Chicago and gigged extensively in Chicago and New York City.

Chelsea Birkby is a local comedian/legend brining her absurdist takes to all of today’s most important topics: her mental illness, the club, horses, her mental illness and so much more. Finalist So You Think You’re Funny 2018. Semi-Finalist Leicester Square Theatre New Act 2018. “Talked skillfully, my jaw soon aching with laughter” 4* Oxford Times. “One to Watch” Funny Women.
