Introducing: Billy The Kid

Sheer Music finish their Swindon gigs in usual fashion, with a core scene member and the Xtra Mile signed Billy Pettinger.

Previously going under the name of gun slinger, Billy The Kid, this young Ameri-can singer-songwriter came to prominence last year when she released her debut album for the label, which was produced by label mate, Frank Turner.

That album covers a great deal of singer songwriter prowess, as she found her voice and feet in the UK. This small Autumn tour takes in some fantastic venues, including The Victoria in Swindon November 17.

Support comes from Heartwork, aka Dan O’Dell. Dan has had a fantastic year in Swindon, having supported the likes of Boston Manor, WSTR, Decade, Jonah Matranga and more since exploding onto our scene. His debut album was funded by a pledge campaign that came in from some massive support from Swindon folks.

Opening the show is ex-Devizes rocker, Phil Eaton, now of Swindon’s newest Americana band, Sunset Service.

It’s a fantastic bill of new and old, all experienced and all high quality, so I’ll take this opportunity to thank everyone in Swindon for their support this year!
