Producer, DJ and grime connoisseur Charlie Sloth is entering an exciting new era in his career, with the release of his debut artist album The Plug.

Coinciding with this milestone, Charlie has announced The Plug UK Album tour powered by VK where he will be bringing his new material, and some of the UK’s top grime and rap artists, to Oxford’s O2 October 6.

The Plug is the latest chapter in Sloth’s journey through sound that started when he discovered NWA when he was a child, and this upcoming live tour across the UK will embody everything that this pioneering artist represents.

Sloth said: “This is the biggest UK Rap music has ever been! And I’m gonna bring some of the sickest rap artists to a city near you. If you’re about the culture this is one show u don’t wanna miss”.

Best known for his work at BBC 1Xtra and Fire In The Booth, Charlie Sloth has been producing for over 10 years for everyone from old school icon Rodney P to ‘Of Course’ on Giggs’ most recent album The Landlord.

Having cemented his reputation as a DJ, Sloth feels that it’s the perfect time for him to make the transition to become an artist and producer in his own right.

The Plug is the first set of original material that Sloth has produced, masterminded and co-written, and as a figurehead of the scene, the album naturally features some of his friends and a ‘who’s who’ from the urban community, with Bugzy Malone, Stormzy and Giggs standing alongside breaking talent such as Aystar, Fredo and Lola Rae.
