I'm absolutely bricking it

The Great Western Brick (GWB) Show will be returning to Swindon’s Steam Museum next month.

Just to clarify, as I definitely miscommunicated this to our deputy editor, this is not some sort of brick-layers convention it’s a lego show! You can bring your children along if you insist, but lego-loving adults of all ages have been packing out the show for the last 15 years and will have another opportunity to do so October 7 to October 8. The show has been increasingly growing in popularity, and every year there is always a new exhibition. At the moment the latest surprise is being kept under wraps until closer to the event, but to give you an idea last year hosted GWB show’s first Robot Wars. This definitely isn’t the amateur level of lego-making I constructed as a child, the GWB show has become renowned for its impressive displays of models from books, TV and films made by the Brickish Association. Other models include intricate designs of railways, spacecrafts, famous landmarks and much more. Also attending the event will be Fairy Bricks, a charity who’s aim is to provide lego for children in hospital. As always, the charity will be bringing along their own mosaic design.
