It’s still festival season but if you’re more of a theatre fan then you’re in luck - theatres across our three regions have some fabulous productions upcoming for the month of August.
I won’t lie, having seen the autumn agendas for some of my favourite theatres I’m for once excited for September. This being said three particular productions have caught my eye and they look like the perfect shows to close the curtain on the summer season.

Writer and poet Richard Mitchell is bringing a story of friendship, humanity and tragedy to the stage. No Man’s an Island explores the friendship between controversial playwright George Bernard Shaw and the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Gene Tunney.
After a successful run at Rosewood London Dusty Limits will be bringing his evening of jazz, acrobatics, opera and magic to Oxford this month in the lavish setting of Oxford New Theatre’s Piano Bar. Apparently it’s “as much a house party as a floor show” and an immersive night at the theatre.
