Handmade in Britain is delighted to be returning to the stunning grounds of Waterperry Gardens, well known for having hosted Art in Action for 40 years (1977 – 2016), for Handmade Oxford - The International Contemporary Arts Festival.
The first edition in 2019 celebrated exceptional craftsmanship from over 250 international and UK- based makers in a unique setting, complemented by an exciting festival programme. Over 7,500 visitors enjoyed an impressive variety of form, function and style and the event was praised for its exceptionally high standard of work and luxury feel.
Building on the success of last year, the second edition of Handmade Oxford will be even bigger and better.
Set to become the highlight of the summer for art collectors and craft-enthusiasts alike, the Festival welcomes established and sought-after exhibitors showcasing their latest collections, alongside innovative new makers and a handpicked selection of artisan food producers.
In addition to meeting the makers, visitors will be invited to take part in packed a programme of workshops, watch artist demonstrations, hear The Arts Society’s talks programme and explore the beautiful ornamental gardens at Waterperry.
