The Vic in Swindon rocked out with style on Thursday night for The Night of The Ocelot with three fantastic acts.

First up was Ocelot reporter and ‘man mountain’ Mike Barham and his band who was utterly fab especially when he got his Kenny Loggins on. In our opinion everybody should get their ‘Kenny Loggins’ on at least once in their lives. Usually on his lonesome Mike went ‘full band’ and ‘electric’ for this set and it was awesome. He’ll go far as long as the ceilings aren’t too low.

He was closely followed by the magnificence of Devizes-own Rival Pilots who owned the stage with guitars, more guitars, and maybe a couple more guitars just for good measure. This was a thrill-ride of a set that got us more excited than a baboon with a bunch of bananas.

Closing the night were the ever brilliant All Ears Avow. The Swindon band showed us exactly why they are one of the best rock bands on the local scene at the moment. They were a tight, oiled machine of rock loveliness. Loved it.

Next month, The Night of the Ocelot takes place on Thursday June 29 at The Vic with the brilliant Oli Norman, the west country meets west coast goodness of Corky and the return of the funniest Youtuber rapper that Wiltshire’s ever produced Chip Daddy.
