As previously explained by us, Sheer Music quite frequently books incredible acts to play in the tiniest of venues in Devizes.

The 6 February was always going to be another good show with Gary Stringer, front-man of 90’s West Country rock band Reef, coming to town.

However, the gig sold out within 24 hours of tickets going on sale. For a small town show, that is mind boggling, but even more so for Sheer Music’s main man Kieran Moore, who said: “We were staggered by the response to the first 60 tickets. We looked into doing a second show and decided against changing to a bigger venue, because The Lamb is the reason the gigs are so special.

“We do it for the love, not the money, so it was never an option to increase.

‚ÄúIt’s really wonderful to add Jim Blair aka Hip Route as support as well, as Jim is a Swindoner and friend of Gary‚Äôs, so it always feels great to foster musical relationships, and I’m glad we’re able to do it in a small town like Devizes, which always PUNCHES ABOVE IT’S WEIGHT.‚Äù

“Punches above it’s weight” should become the tagline for these Devizes shows, so if you want to see Gary Stringer REALLY up close and personal, tickets are on sale now for the 5 February show at The Lamb via WeGotTickets (search Gary Stringer Devizes) and the Sheer Music website: www.sheermusic.co.uk
