International contemporary dance company, Ex Nihilo will be taking over the Newbury’s Market Place, with Shapers this August Bank Holiday as part of the Corn Exchange’s free outdoor arts programme funded by Greenham Trust and Arts Council England.
Shapers is an international collaboration that will see eight dancers from Egypt, France, Spain and Morocco come together to explore the town’s Market Place with their distinctive style of exciting choreography and music.
The company who are known for exploring public spaces as a place for performance, question our relationship with cities, public spaces and people taking inspiration from their surroundings.
Ex Nihilo have been one of the most exciting outdoor dance companies in Europe. Co-directed by Anne Le Batard and Jean-Antoine Bigot.
The performance will be at 2pm on Monday 27 August.
