Brews & Eats

Popular Wiltshire based Flying Monk Brewery have secured Kevin Newbould FBII, a Fellow of the British Institute of Inn-keeping (thanks Google) as their new Managing Director and are busy expanding their exciting range of beers & ciders (yum!) – with new products including Skorpion, the first ever black cider!

Traditionalists in the West Country may frown, but Black Cider promises to be an eye catcher at the very least. Talking about his plans for Flying Monk Brewery in the UK and Export markets, Kevin commented ‚ÄúHaving been in senior management and a key player in the strong growth of leading regional breweries including Wickwar & Box Steam, I‚Äôm incredibly excited to bring this knowledge and resources to strengthen the existing capabilities of the passionate team at this successful, growing brewery. Sounds like he’s the right man for the job, and if Flying Monk can continue their upward trend and produce some more fantastic beverages, Mr Newbould definitely has our seal of approval. We’ve all seen how far Box Steam in particular has come over the past few years, so lets hope he can pull the same trick with the airbourne members of the beer drinking clergy! Kevin‚Äôs appointment together with plans to introduce more new beers and ciders in draught and bottles, means the Flying Monk is still flying high!
