Find out what awesome shows are coming to New Theatre Oxford!

From musicals to dance and comedy to family fun, there is something for everyone in the New Theatre’s Oxford’s latest What’s On Guide, which is now available to pick up from the theatre and various locations around the city.

Highlights for the season include Macbeth (January 8 to 12), Kinky Boots (February 18 to 23), Annie (March 4 to 9), Calendar Girls (April 16 to April 20) and the announcement that the award-winning War Horse will be returning to Oxford from August 22 to September 7.

For those who fancy a good rib-tickling we have some top names from the world of comedy ready to grace our stage including Dave Gorman (February 2), Russell Kane (May 29) and Al Murray (June 5), as well as our monthly comedy club, Stand Up Oxford (December 14, January 15, February 15 and March 15).

Music lovers of all genres are in for a treat with performances from The Sensational 60s Experience (March 17), Art Garfunkel (April 6), Odyssey and The Real Thing (April 21) and Katherine Jenkins (April 26) amongst others.

Families have plenty to look forward to as well. We’re getting in the Christmas spirit with Nativity! The Musical (December 11 to 15) and Stories With Santa (daytimes December 8 to 24, in Piano Bar). Then in January we welcome Doctor Dolittle (January 15 to 26) before Madagascar The Musical bounds out of the zoo and on to our stage (April 30 to May 4).

And from May 31 to June 2, children can get a taste of the magical world of ballet with My First Ballet: Sleeping Beauty, by English National Ballet and the English National Ballet School. The performances are for ages three upwards.

Theatre Director, Lee Henderson, said: “There are so many wonderful shows coming to the New Theatre over the coming months, including the announcement of the return of War Horse, it’s definitely an exciting time for the venue.

“Whether you are looking for a West End musical, big names from the worlds of music and comedy, international ballet or something for the little ones, we have something to appeal to all the family.
