Face down on the ground in a puddle of sick

Returning with their latest single, Bloody Knees will be debuting Not Done in Oxford’s Library.

It would seem that Bloody Knees have been somewhat hibernating, as I can’t really trace much since before 2014.

But we’re in 2017 now, and all that matters is that this four-piece band are heading to The Library October 3 with their latest EP Maybe It’s Easy.

Coming in from a new angle Not Done could easily reflect they’re long-awaited return, as if they’ve been away on some sort of spiritual journey and come out the other end.

Their latest track is, in my eyes, incredible and yet a little illusive. It’s gritty and hardcore, projecting echoes of Nirvana, but they’re not abrasive or outspoken. Sure it’s grungy, but Not Done is also strangely alleviating.

There’s imbedded elements of escapism in this track, as well as sincerity, which gives Bloody Knees a kind of depth making them approachable despite their riotous energy.

Needless to say these Cambridge escapees are enigmatic, heart-stopping and not to be missed.
