Exhibition of local artwork to take place at Hook Village Hall near Royal Wootton Bassett on 20 and 21 May

Royal Wootton Bassett & District Art Society is delighted to announce an exhibition of artwork at Hook Village Hall during the weekend of 20th and 21st May.

Visitors to the free exhibition are invited to view and buy from an array of work on display, with some of the art group members working on paintings and available to chat during the event.

Mediums of acrylics, watercolours and pastels in subjects such as landscapes, seascapes, portraits, floral and animals, in both traditional and contemporary styles, will be on display. A further exhibition of art will also be on show by children of Royal Wootton Bassett Infants’ School.

Printed greetings cards will be on sale, along with a book stall and ‘pop up’ cafe serving drinks and cakes.

Art Society Chairperson, Jacqui Mason said: “We are looking forward to sharing our enthusiasm for art with many visitors over the weekend.  This is our first big exhibition and we hope that it will grow into an annual event.”

The exhibition runs from 10am until 4pm on both days, and will be officially opened by a representative from local sponsors, Awdry, Bailey & Douglas solicitors.
