Day of live music to be held in support of women and girls

Sounds Like Women will host the live event in Liddington, Swindon to raise funds for its support of women and girls.

The fundraising day will take place on Saturday 25 September at the Liddington All Saints Church and Church Hall, and will run from 12 noon - 6pm. 

The festivities will include activities such as a feel good singing workshop, yoga, a drum circle, art for wellbeing, herbs for wellbeing, a children’s music corner, table top sale and live music from international artists, local musicians and music lovers.

Local producers and inspirational guest speakers will also be present. 

Refreshments will be available in the form of coffee, teas and homemade food.

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Sounds Like Women’s activities and workshops, its community cafe and future live community events. 

Tickets can be purchased at https://www.soundslikewomen.com/events and are priced at £6 for an adult and £10 for a family. Ticket prices include one soft drink.

The community day will be supported by Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Services. 

Sounds Like Women is a music and social project, as well as, a non-profit registered Community Interest Company (CIC). It aims to empower women and girls from around the world through music and musical activities.

The company also releases specially written songs to raise awareness of the most pressing issues women face today such as domestic abuse, racial biases or gender based inequality.
