Since 2009 the Oxford Fashion Week team have produced 85 runway shows featuring more than 435 designers from 49 countries around the world.
Following on from shows during New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week the team return home to Oxford for their 10th Season.
To mark the opening night of the 10th season a number of high street retailers will be opening late, offering promotions and giving away golden front-row tickets to the shows. Participating retailers include Toyshop, White Stuff, Toast, L.K. Bennett, Sweaty Betty, Aspire Style, East, Moss Bros and Phase Eight with more being announced daily.
An incredible designer, Kraken Counter Couture features on the OFW 10th Season promotional materials this season. They have introduced the “K” sizing system which is a pioneering formula to dress the modern transgender woman. In recent seasons of Oxford Fashion Week we have featured transgender models as part of their Oxford shows.
The headlining black-tie Concept + Couture Show on Friday 21st October at the Town Hall is raising fund for local charity Oxfordshire Youth (annual review attached). Dumpster Designs is transforming discarded marketing materials from the charity into a dress that will feature as part of the runway show.
Local Oxford boutique Olivia May are presenting their collection during Oxford Fashion Week but are also sponsoring two recent MA graduates, Katie McGuigan and Constance Blackaller, who they consider to be showstoppers.
