Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot launches new coffee house on site

Wow… It really has been an exciting summer at Cornerstone, Didcot’s always excellent arts centre. They have now taken over the café housed on the ground floor and have transformed it into Nourish - a coffee lounge for food lovers!

Historically the coffee shop has been run by external contractors. But now eight years since Cornerstone Arts Centre opened its doors to the public, they are thrilled to have taken it in-house and launched Nourish - a coffee shop for food lovers.

You can sample beautiful coffee, loose leaf teas, delicious cakes, warm grilled sandwiches, homemade soups, locally sourced wine and beer and so much more.

The new manager at Nourish said: “Our objective for Nourish is to serve wholesome, fresh, delicious and homemade food which we are sourcing from local companies. I recommend you try our range of cheese toasties served on sour dough bread. I am confident that these will be the best grilled sandwiches in town!

“Taking over the coffee shop has been a really exciting project, especially tasting all of the scrumptious local produce. I really feel this is the coffee shop Didcot has been missing.”

Nourish is light and airy with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Didcot’s Orchard Centre. It has a modern feel to complement the modern, wholesome food. Outside there is a lovely seating area which you can sit in all year round with the overhead covers and heaters.

And by night it will turn into a fantastic performance and event space.

There is a host of bar performances scheduled for this Autumn/Winter season. From open mic night to Spanish Night, gigs, Halloween walks and so much more… make sure to check out the busy events calendar via cornerstone-arts.org or contact our lovely box office team on 01235 515144.

The opening hours of Nourish are Tuesday to Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.
