Comedic veteran of Edinburgh Fringe brings the banter to Chippenham

Chippenham Comedy Festival is back for its fourth year September 7 to September 10 at The Old Road Tavern with some fantastic headlining acts.

Curated and compèred by local comedian and former Perrier Award winner Wil Hodgson (as seen on Russell Howard’s Good News), this year’s festival assures to deliver its best line-up yet.

Wil is a veteran of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in 2013 decided it was time to bring some of the best stand up shows from the Fringe to his home town.

Wil said: “I’ve been performing at comedy festivals around the world for over 15 years and I thought that what’s good enough for Edinburgh and Melbourne has got to be good enough for the People’s Republic of Chippenham.”

The impressive line-up includes Red Dwarf’s Norman Lovett, comedy legends Robin Ince, Andrew O’Neill, Michael Redmond and Charmian Hughes, as well as exciting acts like Fern Brady, Sarah Bennetto, Doug Segal and Danny Buckler.

As is becoming a Chippenham Comedy Festival tradition, chap hop sensation Mr B. the Gentleman Rhymer will close the Festival on the Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased at the venue, or online by clicking here.
