NOSThree, a collective of three Brazilian artists, are performing their new show Friendly Ever After at this year’s Swindon Fringe Festival April 13.

Friendly Ever After is a story of two young clowns trying to find true friendship. When fate unites them, they realise that cultivating a new friendship is not an easy job, particularly at this early stage of their lives. They discover together the beauty of friendship and the need to respect, help and understand one’s friend. Between the many jokes, arguments, disputes and amusing moments, they realise with the help of the young audience that friendship can be deeper and more rewarding if they simply start to act with genuine kindness, tolerance and empathy with one another.

The production is an examination of childhood friendships and a portrayal of children’s early social experiences. It has been developed and produced for 5 to 12-year-old children, using professional theatre clown techniques which uses physical theatre rather than verbal language. This helps stimulating the children’s creativity and imagination and makes them consciously aware of their own social experiences.

Bianca Bertalot is an actress specialised in clowning since 2005, giving workshops, performing and collaborating in community projects. In 2016, funding was awarded by the Arts Council to develop her show “Cinco Coisas”.

Maria de Jesus Rocha is an actress, Acting Coach and Contemporary dancer. She has been developing her artistic activities since 1992, in Brazil and Portugal. Her working fields are Pre-Expressive techniques and Clowning.

João Ricardo Aguiar is an actor, director and author. He has been performing since 1996. His play “Salvo-Conduto” was awarded the “Best Play of the Year” in Portugal’s National Theatre Contest 2010.
