Calling all local bands and singer-songwriters to perform in new Live Lounge sessions!

SAE Oxford are calling on local song-writers and musicians to perform in their latest series Live Lounge Sessions.

SAE is a creative media institution that offers degree programmes and short courses in Animation, Audio, Film, Games, Music Business and Web Development. The SAE Live Lounge began 2 years ago at the Liverpool campus and since then has seen a whole host of talented musicians from the city perform.

Students collaborate with local artists and are given the chance to get involved in a professionally briefed project, recording and mixing the live performances themselves in SAE’s world-class studios. At the same time, the Live Lounge provides a great opportunity for artists to use SAE’s high-tech facilities and get further exposure through various channels. They will also receive a free video copy of their performance to use for promotion.

Now being introduced at the Oxford campus this year, SAE is calling for local bands and singer-songwriters from any genre of music to get in involved in this exciting series.

Mike Hill, Audio Production lecturer for SAE Oxford comments: “The Live Lounge offers local artists the chance to record their music in a way that genuinely represents the live performance. They can share the session with their fans and even send it to music promoters to help secure their next gig.

“The Live Lounge provides SAE students with an opportunity to develop their skills, work as a part of a team, meet local creatives and develop a showreel of high quality content.”

The SAE Oxford Live Lounge is a great opportunity to showcase the excellent musical talent of Oxford and provides a well-deserved platform. If you’d like to get involved get in touch by emailing Dani Bonventre at d.bonventre@sae.edu and include links to your work.
