Birthday celebrations planned to mark the first year of Swindon coffee shop

Coffee lovers have been invited to celebrate the first birthday of Swindon’s Triple Two coffee shop. Swindon mayor Maureen Penny will lead the celebrations and customers are being offered a free slice of cake to mark the occasion. Triple Two Coffee shop, in Havelock Square, is run by Sales Director David Hodgetts, 23, and his partner Sezan Walker, 21. David said: “We’re delighted to be on track with the business and welcome the Mayor and the people of Swindon to celebrate our success and landmark birthday.” David, a former potential professional tennis player, met his partner at a London tennis academy. And when a persistent shoulder injury prevented him from competing at top level tennis, he decided to make a career change. With the help and investment of David’s accountant father Graham, the couple launched their own franchise. Before the store’s first birthday, this thriving family-owned franchise operation already has four franchisees on board with more waiting to be signed.
