Nearly 400 years after their inception, the band still travel the world over, and will be visiting the Neeld for the first time this summer to raise vital funds for service families.

Stephen Oxlade, the SSAFA Wiltshire Branch Chairman, said of the event: “SSAFA Wiltshire (the Armed Forces Charity) are delighted to be the beneficiaries of the July 13 Concert by the Band of the Scots Guards.

“We very much appreciate them taking time out from their busy performing schedules, to visit the South West on behalf of those serving military personnel, veterans and their families who need our support.

“Grateful thanks must also be given to Chippenham Town Council and the Neeld team for their support in facilitating the event.

“Please join us for a wonderful and rousing evening, showcasing the very best of military musicianship in aid of SSAFA, the oldest military charity.”
