Arlington Arts Autumn/Winter 2018

Arlington Arts have announced their latest season of shows including some of the best Blues, Tributes, Theatre and Comedy West Berkshire has seen.

Spanning the course of six months, Arlington Arts’ Autumn/Winter 2018 features a vibrant variety of entertainment with old favourites returning and fresh faces performing in Newbury for the first time. It all starts on Thurs 23 August with Arlington Arts regulars Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, who have sold out the venue three times in as many years.

As always, Blues is a prominent fixture at Arlington Arts and this October, 11 and 12, they have Stevie Nimmo and Elles Bailey, respectively, returning after successful performances last year. Other Blues artists performing at Arlington include Danny Bryant’s Big Band (Fri 06 November), The Dave Kelly Band (Thurs 22 November) and Dan Patlansky (Fri 23 November).

Enjoy the glory days with some of the best tribute acts the UK has to offer as Clearwater Creedence Revival perform on Fri 14 September and Whole Lotta Led return on Sat 20 October. Also giving you satisfaction on Sat 24 November once again is Not The Rolling Stones whilst Livewire: The AC/DC Show bring back their cannons on Sat 02 February 2019.

Learn about a real-life hero with Shackleton’s Carpenter on Thurs 27 September and the effects of PTSD on Weds 10 October when theatre legends Ridiculusmus perform Give Me Your Love. Experience completely different stories of heartbreak and survival with winner of VAULT Festival Show of the Year 2017 A Hundred Different Words For Love on Thurs 18 October and/or a tale of the trials that refugees experience with The Journey on Weds 14 November.

Have a laugh with some of the best comedians in the country; Facebook sensation Sam Avery: The Learner Parent brings his stand-up show to Arlington on Thurs 01 November, the ever-hilarious Stephen K Amos performs on Sat 17 November and after selling out so quickly last year The Thinking Drinkers are back for 2 consecutive nights on Feb 22 and 23 with their new show Pub Crawl.
