A spokesperson for Arkell’s said: “It is with the deepest sadness that Arkell’s Brewery has to announce the death of its former head brewer, Don Bracher. “Don, 67, died of a stroke while on holiday in New Zealand in January. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and family. “Don joined Arkell’s Brewery in 1992 and was Head Brewer at Arkell’s for 20 years. He retired in March 2012. “His family are organising a memorial service for Don at St Phillips Church, Swindon on Saturday March 24 at 2pm. Contact Helen Ryan at Arkell’s Brewery.
