An evening of Grammy award-winning music at Arlington Arts

Grammy award winning Alvin Youngblood Hart brings his all-electric Muscle Theory to Arlington Arts Thursday January 25 2018.

The cosmic love child of Howlin Wolf and Link Wray, known as a “musician’s musician,” Alvin Youngblood Hart’s praises have been sung by everyone from Bob Dylan to Eric Clapton and Mick Taylor.

Since the release of his 1996 debut recording, the all-acoustic Big Mamma’s Door, Hart has relayed his eclectic musical message around the world. That recording pushed him to receive the 1996 Handy Award for Best New Blues Artist.

2004 saw his first Grammy nomination and 2005 his first win. An evening with his all-electric Muscle Theory is exactly as it sounds: powerful, visceral, intelligent and audacious.

Retro reviewed Hart as: “One of the most original and exciting artists of this generation.”

Tickets are available for £16 online at www.arlingtonarts.co.uk , or by calling the Box Office at 01635 244246.
