All the way from New Zealand, singer-songwriter Nadia Reid will be at The Cellar in Oxford

Fresh from a sold out tour across her home country of New Zealand, Nadia Reid has announced a big European summer tour that will stop off at The Cellar in Oxford September 2.

The announced gig follows the release of Nadia’s second album ‘Preservation’ in March. An ode to self-reflection and self-betterment, ‘Preservation’ is the sound of Nadia showing her true colours, taking back a bit of power, and learning more about herself.

On “Preservation’ Nadia said: “This record is about being OK with who I am in the world, and who I want to be. Learning to live with the fact I’m a person who operates differently to others.

“I remember recording the tracks, it was about 11 at night, and I felt almost transcendental, as if I was out of my body, singing these words to myself. That’s what these songs are; a confession to my future and past self.”

Nadia’s beautifully warm vocals coolly wrap around feelings of turbulence, and exude a gently improved confidence. Deeply intellectual but felt by all, her tone punches harder than before.

MOJO have reviewed the album as: “One of the year’s landmark releases.”
