One of 2017’s fastest rising stars, singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews, has announced date for St Barnabas Church in Oxford.

Courtney recently toured the UK in the Autumn of 2017, which included two sold out dates at Bush Hall (Shepherd’s Bush, London). Luckily there are still tickets left for her set at St Barnabas Church, February 3.

Following her sold our show, a second London date was added after public demand, no doubt a result of the response to the release of her breakthrough album, Honest Life which generated a tidal wave of media support and a much talked about appearance on Later With Jools Holland. Courtney also played End Of The Road Festival to a major crowd as part of the run.

Following on from the success in Europe, Mama Bird Recording Co. and Fat Possum Records announced a US indie store exclusive re-release of Honest Life, which includes a bonus 7″ of unreleased recordings. The limited edition 7” single, which includes newly recorded tracks Sea Town and Near You, is out in Europe via Loose now. Loose records also recently re-issued On My Page, Courtney Marie Andrews’ 2013 release, predecessor to Honest Life. The album is out now, on CD and for the first time ever, on vinyl.

“Andrews melds dovetailing, Joni Mitchell-like melodies with pin-sharp lyrics that recall the pre-didactic Laura Marling, over a country sound bed of keening pedal steel and cascading piano. It makes for a stunning combination” reviewed The Sunday Times.

Andrews has just returned from a successful tour with Joe Pug in Australia and will be on a headlining tour in Europe in the fall, an official showcase at the Americana Music Fest in Nashville and a North American tour with Hamilton Leithauser beginning in October.

There’s a new generation of women burning down the Nashville music industry. Powerful voices like Margo Price and Nikki Lane have been rewriting the script, owning their own songs and vision. Now, add to this list Washington State Americana songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews. After a decade spent at the height of the music industry, touring solo and with large pop bands, she realized her desire for a place to come home to. She found that in a small rural town in the deep forests of Washington State. There, she posted up at a local bar, slinging drinks, basking in the simplicity and reflection it allowed. She has emerged in 2016 with a new fire on Honest Life, melding indie-folk and Americana with a rebellious country flavor reminiscent of her Southwestern root.

Rolling Stones’ Marissa R. Moss said: “Her songs are anchored by smart lyricism that seems more like an intimate conversation than a fiery confessional.”
