Singer songwriter, Emily Levy, launches her debut solo album, Lost & Found at two special concerts in the UK in Oxford and Leeds. The former Oxford based artist (her family still lives in the city) is presenting the Oxford gig at Pegasus on Friday 1st June for local music fans

Her sound is a twist on modern folk, with a nod to Tom Waits in the woozy orchestral corner and Aphex Twin on the side of messy electonica.  The songs of Lost & Found sit midway between Laura Marling’s modern folklore and Bjork’s pulsating vocal lines.

Written over a 10 year period, Lost & Found is about life and love, and how the world around you can change in an instant when you lose something you love.

Emily will be joined on stage by the ragtag bunch of inspiringly degenerate musicians featured on the album, and by the all together sublime sounds of the Helen Watson Trio. The Trio specialise in lesser known standards: jazz and soul plus rhythm and blues.  Helen Watson sings with Mark Creswell on guitar and Dave Bowie Junior on double bass.
