Jubilee Jam – Oxfringe live music sessions at The Jericho, Oxford on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June for a festive musical antidote to the Jubilee bank holiday weekend!

Picked from the fields and highways of The ‘Shire, Jubilee Jam mixes up a pot of the ripest bands for 2 midsummer nights – and afternoon cream teas – for the Oxfringe 2012 live music sessions, with sweet sounds and sticky fingers for a very Oxford Jubilee weekend.

Saturday showcases a packed line up of local indie rock and pop acts -

Highlights: howling Ex-Ute frontman Ollie T wows with his new outfit The Old Grinding Young; plus high energy post-punkers Black Hats rock the rafters; emerging Oxford talent Wild Swim top the bill - this young band experiment with synth-led indie-pop headed by Richard Sansom's remarkable vocals and 80s-centric intensity. Plus a fine array of top Oxford talent.

Sunday line up serves up an eclectic mix of intrigue and experimentalism, contemporary folk and uplifting Summer sounds, rounded up with raucous  fun! Notoriously mischievous Speakeasy-style Big Band The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band headline, guaranteed to get the crowd dancing; other highlights will be mesmerising girl-folk with the gorgeous tones of Jess and Ness, 'like Sirens calling to us' ... plus Beach Boy-pop harmonies from Co-Pilgrim aka Mike Gale, former frontman of lo-fi cult band Black Nielson and gang - and anti-indie music-hall protagonist Matt Winkworth entertains with dark tales and his eight 8 piece new-folk orchestra the Winkworthers Originals.
