Minsk 2011: A Reply to Kathy Acker by Fuel & Belarus Theatre will be performed at North Wall Theatre in Summertown, Oxford from Thursday May 31 to Saturday June 2.

A rare opportunity to experience a provocative and heart-breaking show.

Strip clubs, underground raves and gay pride parades pulse beneath the surface of a city where sexuality is twisted by oppression. If scars are sexy then Minsk must be the sexiest city in the world.

A love letter to a home that exiles those willing to fight for it, Minsk 2011 celebrates and mourns a land that has lost its way.

Belarus Free Theatre was founded in 2005 under the Lukashenko dictatorship. Many company members have served time in prison, lost their jobs, gone into hiding or been exiled.

It starts at 8pm and costs £15 and £11 for concessions.
