Reasons to lose weight #87 - I've got more spare tyres than the local ATS service centre.
I'm not losing weight. Despite everything over the past two weeks the weight is not coming off. In fact it's not doing anything. It's just sat there. Not moving. Being plain lazy.
I had my weekly weigh-in today and I weighed 17stone exactly. The same as last week. Meaning that what I'm doing isn't working.
That means I lost Nada. Zilch. Nothing. A big fat Zero.
Well, I know the fitness stuff must be working but the losing weight bit is definitely not as I'm not losing weight. Simple as that.
Unfortunately for this diet/exercise thing that I'm doing, normal life seems to be continuing around me.
For instance I went out for a meal on Friday night with friends where I had a starter and a main course. Then yesterday was my fifth wedding anniversary and I cooked a proper romantic type meal for the love of my life which included, you guessed it, pudding. Then I had ice cream for pudding at another meal.
Although none of these things have broken my self-imposed rules things have to change.
I thought that with all the 'fasting' and the 'no snacking' (except for one small low calorie yoghurt earlier in the week) that I would have still lost weight though.
Right, from this point onwards. Well, from tomorrow onwards anyway, normal life is going to stop. I've got two weeks left of this 28 Days of Pain and I'm determined they're going to make a difference.
This break from normality will start tomorrow where from now on I'm only allowed 1500 calories in any given 24 hour period for the rest of the challenge.
There will still be the two weekly fasting days of 1,000 calories at the most but I've got to seriously ramp up the dieting aspect of this challenge as the weight is refusing to budge.
So this week now looks like this....
Monday - 5km run - 1,500 calories
Tuesday - Fasting Day - 1,000 calories
Wednesday - 5km run - 1,500 calories
Thursday - Fasting Day - 1,000 calories
Friday - 5km run - 1,500 calories
Saturday - 5km cycle track run - 1,500 calories
Sunday - 1,500 calories
This is going to be hard but I've got to do this otherwise it'll all be for nothing.
Right only 12 days to go until my 10,000 metre killer run.
