The Swindon based singer song writer, and front man of Indie Rock band “The Racket” provided Fantasy Radio with a 3 song unplugged session on Tuesday 1st May, which is due to be aired on Thursday 17th May.

Plummie has joined a host of South West artists, who are providing their lungs for these bespoke radio events, which are set to feature Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun (Xtra Miles Recordings) and Justin Young from The Vaccines in the near future for Matthew Corbett’s weekly radio session.

The shows are a brand new feature on the recently established Devizes based station, aiming to specifically follow and document the local Mid-Wiltshire scene. The previous 9 sessions have featured soloists as well as bands doing “unplugged” sets in the modern and excellent surroundings of Ginger Productions in Poulshot, Wiltshire, under the guidence of experienced broadcaster, Phil Dawson, who is the mastermind behind the station itself.

Plummie, who recently played Devizes, supporting Chris T-T, layed down 3 songs, including a Racket song, reworked for the solo performance, and provided an insight into his inner workings with some wonderful chat and banter with Matthew between the songs.

Session producer, Kieran Moore of Sheer Music has suggested that these sessions represent “their own mini Daytrotter” the leading session recording station in America, which have set a very high standard, with some ground breaking sets from a vast, vast array of artists over the years.

And like Day Trotter, the sessions are avaliable for download post-airing, from the Matthew Corbett page on the Fantasy Radio website.

Fantasy Radio is broadcast 24/7 on 97fm, in Devizes and mid-Wiltshire, you can also stream from their website. For more information, visit http://www.fantasyradio.co.uk/programmes/matthew-corbett/
