Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick are a duo that will be bringing some wonderful  Folk music to the Swindon Arts Centre on Tuesday September 18.
The remarkable duo played an important part in the shake up of British Folk Music in the middle to late 60’s.
They first teamed up in 1966 and created passionate instrumental tracks in their live sets and recordings.
Dave Swarbrick is known for his powerful instrumentals and when he joined Fairport Convention in 1969 he became legendary and well documented for his contribution to folk and folk/rock music.
Martin Carthy has been one of folk’s greatest innovators for more than 40 years. His skill, stage presence and natural charm has won him many admirers, not only within the folk scene, but also far beyond it.
