Stewart Francis will be performing at City Hall in Salisbury on Thursday 14 June at 7.30pm.
“A brilliant comic brain... this stand-up cracks some of the best one-liners I’ve ever heard.” The Guardian
Stewart Francis is back and ready to hit the road again! After his popular show which came to City Hall last year, the master of killer one-liners returns to Salisbury with the brilliant new show ‘Outstanding in His Field’. Having appeared on BBC’s Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Live At The Apollo, Stewart is a well known face on the comedy circuit and stands out from other comedians with his unique style of quick fire comedy. Stewart said: ‘I’d like to dedicate my performance to my father who was a roofer, so Dad, if you’re up there’.
“A veritable barrage of perfectly crafted gags”. Sunday Times
Following his move to the UK from his native Canada, it was not long before Stewart established himself as one of the best stand ups. From being on the scene for 21 years his real break came from being the support for Ricky Gervais on his Science tour. The accomplished actor, writer and comedian has now performed his slick, perfectly timed wealth of gags all over the world from the US to Kilkenny and Aspen to South Africa.
“Few hours pack in so many gags with such a high hit rate.” Chortle
When it comes to stand-up styles, there’s only really one kind of comedy for Stewart Francis. Not for him the convoluted weaving of stories or working around a concept. He just wants to pack in as many jokes as he possibly can during his time in front of a crowd. So don’t miss this guaranteed great night out – book now!
