From Monday November 5 to Friday November 9, the tragedy Othello will be performed at The Watermill Theatre in Newbury.

This is part of the Shake-up Shakespeare Festival which also includes loads of other activities.

The Shakespearean tragedy which depicts a tragic love triangle brought to an explosive end by the manipulative Iago, has been adapted for three actors by Beth Flintoff who also directs.

This is Beth Flintoff’s second adaptation of a major text. Her reworking of FAUSTUS for schools last year was a major success bringing in its wake a storm of requests for similar productions. The text is cut to 75 minutes and is highly accessible.
