Right. This is important. Spector, one of the best new bands around, are going to be playing a free gig in Marlborough on Tuesday August 14.

The fivesome will be rocking up to AZUZA in Hughendon Yard to celebrate the release of their debut album 'Enjoy It While It Lasts', which they will be signing in neighbouring record shop Sound Knowledge.

The gig will start at 6.30pm and is expected to be awesome. To go all you have to do is click 'attending' on the record shop's Facebook event page at:  http://www.facebook.com/events/442972782409951/

Spector are a five-piece indie rock band from London, comprising Frederick Macpherson (vocals), Christopher Burman (guitar), Thomas Shickle (bass), Jed Cullen (synth, guitar) and Danny Blandy (drums). They have been described as "somewhere between Roxy Music and the Strokes. On 5 December 2011, the BBC announced that the band had been nominated for the BBC's Sound of 2012 poll.

The band have just come off a headline UK tour in February 2012 and were a support act for Florence and the Machine's March 2012 tour.

They appeared on the live broadcast of Later... with Jools Holland on 22 November 2011 and performed their single "What You Wanted".
