Infinite Variety exhibition Celebrating the beauty of the ageing female face. Curated by actress Harriet Walter With accompanying In Conversation event featuring Libby Purves. From Wednesday 14 April - Saturday 15 May Salisbury Arts Centre will be hosting a very special exhibition, curated by actress Harriet Walter, which celebrates the beauty of the ageing female face. The venue has also this week announced a special In Conversation event to accompany the Infinite Variety exhibition. The Infinite Variety exhibition has been curated by actress Harriet Walter and is a selection of portrait photographs celebrating the beauty of the aging female face. The exhibition, which features women age 48 – 95, includes the famous including Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Mary Quant and Annie Lennox. It also features images of women who are not famous, caught by photographers on camera in a celebration of age. The exhibition has previously been on display at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-on-Avon and was designed by Harriet as she was inspired by her role as Cleopatra in the RSC production of Antony and Cleopatra in 2007. The exhibition’s title Infinite Variety comes from a line in the play; “Age cannot wither her, nor customer stale her infinite variety’. Harriet Walter is delighted to be working with Salisbury Arts Centre to bring this exhibition to the city.
